Day 1: Hanoi arrival - Own tickets

Private Hanoi Airport Transfer without a guide
Upon arrival at Noi Bai Airport, either Domestic or International arrival, after clearing all customs procedures, please proceed to exit gate and look for your driver who will be waiting at the lobby, holding the Trails of Indochina signboard with your name on it, if you cannot locate your driver, please go to the Airport information counter situated in the middle of Domestic and International arrival lobby inside the terminal and call the emergency numbers +84 - 9 1323 7040 for assistance. Your guide will come to meet you up and transfer you to the hotel.

Day 2: Hanoi

Seat-In-Coach Hanoi full day tour
07h45 - 8h15: Free pick up at your hotel. Then visit the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum to explore the architectural and historical aspects of Uncle Ho's final resting-place. Just next door is Ho Chi Minh's house on stilts and lying to one side of the Mausoleum is the One Pillar Pagoda. Then continue on to the Buddhist Tran Quoc Pagoda at West lake One of the oldest pagodas in Vietnam. Then visit Bat Trang pottery village applied on Monday, Wednesday & Friday.
After lunch, proceeds to visit the Ethnology Museum apply on Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday & Saturday, the Literature Temple and Quoc Tu Giam, see Vietnam's first university. Take you past Hoan Kiem Lake to see the peaceful waters and the beauty of Ngoc Son temple. In the end, journey through Hanoi's Old Quarter, where you will then have a chance for some shopping and exploration. Tour ends around 15h30 - 16h00.
NOTE: Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum is closed every Monday & Friday, all afternoons and from September until December

Day 3: Hanoi - Halong

Seat-In-Coach transfer Hanoi - Halong
On arrival in Halong Bay, board your junk, settle into your cabin and prepare your appetite for an enjoyable lunch on the deck. During lunch, the boat cruises through Halong Bay, passing the most beautiful and quiet areas including Incense Burner, Dog Stone Islet, Fighting Cock, and Finger Islet. Then arriving at Cua Van fishing village. Most of the villagers have moved on land for their children's future due to the lack of education system and resources. Start exploring the villagers' distinctive way of life on a small bamboo boat rowed by the villagers. Return to the boat and join the cooking demonstration on-board. After dinner, you might want to try luck at squid fishing from the boat.

Day 4: Halong - Hanoi / Danang - Flight - Economy Class Arranged by Trails of Indochina

Wake up early and partake in a Tai Chi demonstration, which is held on the upper deck. Then join in the walking tour of Titov Beach Island. You might want to climb up the steps to the peak for a breath-taking 360-degree view of the Bay. After the climb, it is time for swimming or relaxing on the beach if weather permits. Return to your boat, freshen up and enjoy breakfast while cruising back to land. Arrive at the jetty late morning and embark on Seat-In-Coach transfer back to Hanoi.

Private Danang Airport Transfer Without Guide
Upon arrival at Danang Airport, after clearing all customs procedures, please proceed to exit gate and look for your driver who will be waiting at the lobby, holding the Trails of Indochina signboard with your name on it, if you cannot locate your driver, please go to the nearest Information counter and have them call the emergency number +84 - 9 1349 3398 for assistance. Your guide will come to meet you up and transfer you to the hotel in Hoi An.

Day 5: Hoi An

Between the 15th and 19th centuries, Hoi An known then as Faifo, was a prosperous trading port, attracting Chinese, Japanese, Dutch, Portuguese and Spanish ships amongst others. Today, this World Heritage ancient town is recognised for its well-preserved architecture, pedestrian-only streets and distinctive local cuisine, allowing visitors a glimpse of its illustrious past. Hoi An's narrow lanes are ideal for a guided walking tour of its many atmospheric sights including the old merchant houses with influences from Chinese, Japanese and Vietnamese architecture; the 400-year-old Japanese Covered Bridge, first built in the 1590s by the Japanese community to link them with the Chinese quarters across the stream.

The Hoi An entrance ticket is valid for entry to 5 sightseeing spots in Hoi An including merchant houses, the Japanese Covered Bridge, museums, pagodas and assembly halls for 24 hours. It also provides entry into Hoi An Ancient Town for as long as you are in Hoi An. Please keep the entrance ticket with you at all times should you independently visit Hoi An later in the evening or on another day.

Morning:

Boat trip to Thien Mu pagoda - The oldest pagoda in Hue city.
Imperial Citadel - The home of Vietnam's last royal dynasty - the Nguyen Dynasty.
Hue Royal Antiques Museum - A collection of ornaments from the Nguyen dynasty.
Dong Ba Market to see the daily life of local people.

Afternoon:

Lunch at a local restaurant.
Khai Dinh King's Tomb - a blend of Western and Eastern architecture.
Minh Mang King's Tomb, one is impressed by the majesty and symmetry of the architectural constructions.

Upon arrival Tan Son Nhat airport, after clearing all customs procedures, please proceed to exit gate and look for your driver who will be waiting at the lobby, holding the Trails of Indochina signboard with your name on it. If you cannot locate your driver, please come to the closest Information booth and have them call the emergency number +84 - 9 1871 3456. Your guide will come to meet you and transfer you to the hotel.

Day 8: Saigon - Cu Chi - Saigon

In the morning, visit the Notre Dame Cathedral, the historic Central Post Office, and Reunification Palace. Followed by the remarkable site of the War Remnants Museum.
Break time for lunch at a local restaurant.
Afternoon trip to Cu Chi tunnels - a popular spot for both Vietnamese & foreign tourists. The network of over 200km of tunnels became legendary when they played a vital role in the War.

Day 9: Saigon / Siem Reap Flight, economy class Arranged by TOI

Upon arrival Siem Reap International Airport, after clearing all customs procedures, walk to the main exit gate, you will be met by Trails of Indochina representative carrying Trails of Indochina signboard with your name on it. Day 10: Siem Reap

Day 11: Siem Reap

Private Siem Reap Half Day Tour: Ta Prohm
Depart from your hotel and continue to Ta Prohm Temple - one of Angkor's jewels that is overgrown with big trees and lush jungle. The magnificent roots of the trees have merged over the centuries with the temple's huge stone blocks, emphasizing a forgotten city' feeling. The temple was built by King Jayavarman VII to commemorate his mother. Take your time to walk through the temple from the East entrance to the West entrance walk 1-2 km where your vehicle will be waiting.
