About Vietnam Classic - Seat in Coach Tour
Day 1: Hanoi arrival
Upon arrival at Noi Bai Airport, either Domestic or International arrival, after clearing all customs procedures, please proceed to exit gate and look for your driver who will be waiting at the lobby, holding the Trails of Indochina signboard with your name on it, if you cannot locate your driver, please go to the Airport information counter situated in the middle of Domestic and International arrival lobby (inside the terminal) and call the emergency numbers (+84) 9 1323 7040 for assistance. Your driver will come to meet you and transfer you to your hotel.
Day 2: Hanoi
SIC Hanoi full day tour - 07h45 - 08h15: Free pick up at your hotel. Then visit the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum to explore the architectural and historical aspects of Uncle Ho's final resting place. Just next door is Ho Chi Minh's house on stilts and lying to one side of the Mausoleum is the One Pillar Pagoda, which was founded by King Ly Thai To in 1049 - the structure has become an important symbol for the people of Hanoi. Then continue on to the Buddhist Tran Quoc Pagoda at West Lake (One of the oldest pagodas in Vietnam).Then visit Bat Trang pottery village. After lunch proceed to visit the Ethnology Museum (open on a Sun, Tue, Thu & Sat), the Literature Temple and Quoc Tu Giam, see Vietnam's first university, constructed in 1070 - it's gardens and well-preserved architecture will offer a relaxing glimpse into Vietnam's past. Take you past Hoan Kiem Lake to see the peaceful waters and the beauty of Ngoc Son temple. At the end, journey through Hanoi's Old Quarter, where you'll then have a chance for some shopping and exploration. NOTE: Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum is closed every Monday & Friday and all afternoons. Day 3: Hanoi - Halong
SIC transfer Hanoi - Halong. On arrival in Halong Bay, board your junk, settle into your cabin and prepare your appetite for an enjoyable lunch on the deck. During lunch, the boat cruises through Halong Bay, passing the most beautiful and quiet areas including Incecse Burner, Dog Stone Islet, Fighting Cock, Finger Islet. Then arriving at Cua Van fishing village. This is one of the largest fishing villages on the Bay. However, most of the villagers have moved on land for their children's future due to the lack of education system and resources. Start exploring the villagers' distinctive way of life on a small bamboo boat rowed by the villagers. Return to the boat and join the cooking demonstration onboard. Prepare for dinner. After dinner, you might want to try luck at squid fishing from the boat. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Day 4: Halong - Hanoi / Danang (Flight - Economy Class arranged by Trails Of Indochina)
Wake up early and partake in a Tai Chi demonstration which is held on the upper deck. Then join in the walking tour of Titov Beach Island. You might want to climb up the steps to the peak for a breathtaking 360-degree view of the Bay. After the climb, it's time for swimming or relaxing on the beach if weather permits. Return to your boat, freshen up and enjoy breakfast while cruising back to land. Arrive at the jetty late morning and embark on SIC transfer back Hanoi. Private transfer to the airport for flight to Danang. Private dining airport transfer. Upon arrival at Danang Airport, after clearing all customs procedures, please proceed to exit gate and look for your driver who will be waiting at the lobby, holding the Trails of Indochina signboard with your name on it, if you cannot locate your driver, please go to the nearest Information counter and have them call the emergency number (+84) 9 1349 3398 for assistance. Day 5: Hoi An
Private half day Hoi An walking tour. Between the 15th and 19th centuries, Hoi An known then as Faifo, was a prosperous trading port, attracting Chinese, Japanese, Dutch, Portuguese and Spanish ships amongst others. Today, this World Heritage ancient town is recognised for its well-preserved architecture, pedestrian-only streets and distinctive local cuisine, allowing visitors a glimpse of its illustrious past. Hoi An's narrow lanes are ideal for a guided walking tour of its many atmospheric sights including: the old merchant houses with influences from Chinese, Japanese and Vietnamese architecture; the 400-year-old Japanese Covered Bridge, first built in the 1590s by the Japanese community to link them with the Chinese quarters across the stream; the Assembly Hall of the Chaozhou Chinese Congregation with its intricate woodcarvings; and the colourful market with stalls brimming with local specialties including silk, which can be turned into fashionable garments within a day or two. NOTES : Availability: morning, afternoon, suggested departure time: 09h00, 14h00, tour duration: 02 hours, the Hoi An entrance ticket is valid for entry to 5 sightseeing spots in Hoi An including merchant houses, the Japanese Covered Bridge, museums, pagodas and assembly halls for 24 hours. It also provides entry into Hoi An Ancient Town for as long as you are in Hoi An. Please keep the entrance ticket with you at all times should you independently visit Hoi An later in the evening or on another day. Meals: Breakfast
Day 6: Hoi An-Hue (~3-hour drive)

Day 7: Hue / Saigon (Flight - Economy Class (Arranged by Trails Of Indochina)
SIC Hue tour. Morning: Boat trip to Thien Mu pagoda - The oldest pagoda in Hue city. Imperial Citadel - The home of Vietnam's last royal dynasty - the Nguyen Dynasty. Hue Royal Antiques Museum - A collection of ornaments from the Nguyen dynasty. Dong Ba Market to see the daily life of local people. Afternoon: Lunch at a local restaurant. Khai Dinh King's Tomb - a blend of Western and Eastern architecture. Minh Mang King's Tomb, one is impressed by the majesty and symmetry of the architectural constructions. Conical hat village. Private transfer to the airport (without a guide) for a flight to Saigon. Private Saigon airport transfer (without guide). Upon arrival Tan Son Nhat airport, after clearing all customs procedures, please proceed to exit gate and look for your driver who will be waiting at the lobby, holding the Trails of Indochina signboard with your name on it. If you cannot locate your driver, please come to the closest. An information booth and have them call the emergency number (+84) 9 1871 3456. Day 8: Saigon - Cu Chi - Saigon
SIC Cu Chi tunnels & Saigon city tour. In the morning visit the Notre Dame Cathedral, the historic Central Post Office, Reunification Palace. Followed by the remarkable site of the War Remnants Museum. Break time for lunch at a local restaurant. Afternoon trip to Cu Chi tunnels, the network of over 200km of tunnels became legendary when they played a vital role in the war. In their heyday, the tunnels were functioning underground cities include innumerable trap doors, specially constructed living areas, storage facilities, weapon factories, field hospitals, command centres & kitchen. Visitors have a chance to know how the tunnel was constructed, spend the next hours exploring the tunnels and war remnants, where you'll learn more about the conditions the people lived in, the hardships they faced, and the amazing ingenuity employed to maintain life in the tunnels, sample some of the simple cuisine that local fighters would have survived on, and have an opportunity to venture into the tunnels and explore the complex. Day 9: Saigon - the Mekong - Saigon
Mekong full day tour - SIC. Enjoy the scenic journey along the National Highway bordered by green rice fields. On arrived at My Tho, visit Vinh Trang pagoda, take a leisurely boat ride along the river, view the stilt houses, fruit plantations and fishing villages along the river bank. Proceed to Tortoise islet, have lunch in the orchard garden. Then a boat ride to An Khanh - a less touristy attraction in Ben Tre, enjoy cruising on a hand-rowed sampan under the shadow of the water coconut trees along natural canals, then enjoy seasonal fruit & honey tea to the sound of "Southern Vietnamese folk music", performed by locals. Visit a family business which epitomizes the idyllic rural lifestyle, taste the delicious coconut candy & observe the pastoral life as you roam through the fruit plantation and village. Meet the bus and return to Saigon. This trip provides a fascinating insight into daily life in the Mekong Delta and you are guaranteed to take home your own private collection of beautiful memories.
